The Agricultural Innovation Support Project (AISP) is supporting organized small-scale farmers in Zimbabwe in improving their income through climate-adapted agriculture.
The project is active in the provinces of Manicaland and Masvingo. The implementation is carried out in three fields of activity: 1) improvement of the access of small-scale farmers to
advisory services; 2) strengthening of farming groups and peasant umbrella organizations and 3) Improvement of the market orientation of small-scale farming production. The project strengthens the advisory service providers (meso-level), especially the agricultural-technical advisory service Agricultural Technical and Extension Service, AGRITEX, in selected districts of this province. Furthermore, the project promotes private-public advisory approaches and linkages between farming production and markets so that in this way, long-term sustainable preconditions for a growth in production and incomes can ensue.
